Van Cliburn Piano Competition gold medalist Haochen Zhang performs Mozart, Brahms and Stravinsky in Charlotte, and pipa virtuoso Wu Man joins the South Carolina Philharmonic for a concerto by Tan Dun.  Then the orchestra plays the Maurice Ravel orchestration of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, conducted by Morihiko Nakahara.  For more information, visit the Carolina Live page.

A "Battle of the Bows" from Hickory, North Carolina... The Western Piedmont Symphony has a coveted three-year residency program for a string quartet.
